N.L. environmental advocacy group seeks 'definitive language' in a law to ban importing garbage to the province. PDF
ST. JOHN'S, N.L. — The Centre for Long-term Environmental Action Newfoundland and Labrador (CLEANNL) is urging the provincial government to legislate a ban on importing foreign garbage.
Barry Fordham, chairperson of CLEANNL’s working group on imported waste, said the group had a meeting with Environment and Climate Change Minister Bernard Davis about the issue in February.
